sign up for Wireless@SG? |

You
will no longer have to search for a particular Wireless Hotspot
belonging to your mobile or broadband service provider. With
Wireless@SG, you can now surf the Internet in most public areas such
as Cafes, Bus stops, Coffee Shops, along the sidewalks etc with a
single login account. |

What
is the speed of the internet? |

For
the Free Basic Wireless@SG account, you get speeds of up to 512kbps
at most public areas. |

So
I can access internet and other services? |
|
Once connected, users will be able to
access all Internet-based services e.g. online gaming, web surfing,
instant messaging, VoIP and email. |
|

Can
I access via my laptop or WIFI enable handphone? |
|
To connect to the Wireless@SG wireless
broadband network, a user just needs a WiFi-enabled device, such as
a laptop computer or a PDA, a web browser, and a registered
Wireless@SG account. |

Do
I have to sign up with all three operators? |
|
You can choose to sign up at any time
with any one of the three operators, and be able to access all the
three operators' networks with one single account. The user is able
to roam within any of Wireless@SG's coverage areas, regardless of
the operators' network. |

Do
I have to be an existing customer? |
|
You do not have to be existing
subscribers of these operators to enjoy the free service. |
|

Who
can sign up? |
|
QMax
is extending this three year free offering with unlimited usage to
all residents and visitors in Singapore, including tourists and
business travellers . |

If I want to sign up for higher /
faster speed? |
|
For
those hungry for bandwidth beyond 512 kbps or connectivity options
with higher quality of service, the three operators will also offer
premium services at a fee. |

So I register with QMax, what is the
next step? |
|
We will sms and / or email you the
password. There are basically 2 ways by which you register
with QMax. |
|
If you register online through
www.qmax.com.sg website, you
will receive an email with a password. |
|
If you register online through one of
QMax's hotspots, you will receive a SMS with your password |
|

|
I
got the login ID and password, what is the next step? |
|
Search
for wireless coverage with your WIFI enabled device and select
Wireless@SG. You are now connected. |
|
 |
|
Where
are QMax hotspots and coverage area? |
|
QMax
will be announcing these locations shortly in the month of Dec 2006.
|

|
How
do I know this hotspots belongs to QMax? |
|
Look
out for the QMax Logo on your Hotspot Welcome Screen. |
